Action Builder & Form Builder
Forms, workflows and buttons composed as one artefact
An action is a form that collects input, a workflow that does the work, bindings between the two, and the surfaces where the button appears. The builder walks you through each part and keeps a live summary of what you have made
What you can do
Turn a process into a button. Turn a button into a form
Compose an action from a form, a workflow and a place to put it. Volume checks that the three still fit together, and disables the button with a reason if they ever stop fitting
Four action types
Record actions on a row, bulk actions on a selection, header actions on a grid with no record required, and link actions that run from a secure link without a login.
Seven placement surfaces
Resource pages, dashboard report and table widgets, record view headers and table widgets, and reports, filtered so you can never configure a button with nowhere to appear.
Every action is backed by a workflow
The workflow picker is narrowed to flows whose trigger matches the action type.
One action, many objects
Attach the same action to several objects and scope its visibility to selected roles.
Self-disabling on drift
If the form or workflow underneath changes shape, the action disables itself with a stored reason rather than failing in front of a user.
Parameter binding
Map record fields into workflow inputs so the flow starts with the context it needs.
Confirmation dialogs
Optional confirmation with your own text and button label on every type except links.
31 form field types in 7 groups
Input, selection, date and time, media including signature, advanced including repeaters and sliders, integrations such as address lookup, and layout blocks.
Drag-and-drop canvas
Field palette, per-field configuration, context menu and command palette, with nested repeater fields.
Type-aware conditions
A date condition offers “is after”, a multi-select offers “contains any of”, a slider offers numeric comparison, each with the right control.
Draft and publish
Numbered published versions, an unpublished-changes indicator and discard-draft. Only the published version ever runs.
Publish-impact warning
Before republishing, the builder lists every action wired to the form.
Starter templates and previews
Contact, registration, feedback and RSVP templates, a responsive preview and auto-generated thumbnails.
How it works
Three steps, no tickets to engineering
1
Build the form
Drag fields onto the canvas, add conditions and publish a version.
2
Wire the workflow
Pick the flow that does the work and bind record fields to its inputs.
3
Place the button
Choose where it appears and who can see it. Volume keeps checking the fit from then on.
What makes it different
The form, the workflow and the button are one artefact, verified to fit together. When the form changes shape, the button that depends on it disables itself with a reason, rather than failing in front of a user.
